A 22 year old, Luka James, resident of Gwalantabal village in Song local government area of Adamawa state has been arrested by the police for alleged abduction and raping a 15 year old minor.
Spokesman of the Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje dropped the hint in a press release issued in Yola, weekend, stressing that the arrest followed a complain lodged to police by one Mr. Yohannah Begie, a resident of Nkafa village.
“The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended and taken into custody a 22-year-old for the offences of criminal conspiracy abduction and rape of a minor”.
The release indicated that, on 31st January, 2025, the victim was on her way to school when the suspect conspired with one Emmanuel, who is currently on the run, abducted her into a nearby bush and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
“The victim was found unconscious at the scene and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment while the suspect was arrested in Michika local council.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Morris Damkombo expressed worry over the ugly incident and directed the Deputy commissioner of Police in charge of CID to take over the investigation and ensure justice.”
