Lobi Stars FC, Makurdi has appointed Mohammed Babaganaru as interim manager to rescue the team from relegation.
Coach Babaganaru was sighted at the Benue State University where Lobi beat Flight FC 2-1 in the State finals of the President’s Federation Cup.
Confirming this to Sportswriters on Sunday, , the club Chairman Dr. Philip Nongu said ‘yes we have invited Babaganaru to come and take over the team. You are aware that the former technical adviser Daniel Amokachi resigned for personal reasons so we cannot allow vacuum. We have not agreed an terms with him yet’.
He explained that the choice of Babaganaru is based on his track record of rescuing teams from relegation including Lobi Stars two( 2) seasons ago, adding ‘we consulted wide before arriving at his choice. Am hoping that he will repeat the same fit and take us out of the red zone’.
Coach Babaganaru is expected to lead the team against Niger Tornadoes in Bauchi. Lobi is languishing at the bottom of NPFL log.
