The leadership of All Progressives Congress [APC] in Kebbi state, has accused the state government of not implementing the N18,000 minimum wage for the state civil servants which made them to embark on indefinite strike action.

Addressing newsmen yesterday at the correspondent chapel office, the party public relation officer, Alhaji Sani Dodo, said there was no reason for the government not to pay the workers.

He said ‘’you see the level of poverty in Kebbi has increased; no money in circulation; no food and he did not even assist anybody for Ramdan. I am happy that NLC have embarked on strike and let’s see how his PDP would deliver Kebbi state in forthcoming 2015 general election.”

Fielding questions from newsmen at the Cabinet office, the Kebbi State Head of Civil Service, Buhari Halidu Jega, said that agreement has been reached by the two parties while calling on the workers to return to work, following agreement with NLC.

He said “We thank the NLC for reaching an agreement with the state while I call on the workers to resume work and I assure them of government resolve to improved package’’.
