AA refutes leadership change, reaffirms Omo-aje as National Chairman

The Action Alliance has debunked any changes in the leadership of the Party, reaffirming Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje as its National Chairman.

This was contained in a statement signed by the National Chairman of Action Alliance, Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, and made available to the media in Kaduna today.

The party reacting to purported press release by one Mr Kenneth Udeze, who is not a member of the Party has been reistated discribes such rumours as laughable.

The statement stated that the Supreme Court, in her Ruling in the Chamber, has no bearing on the authentic Chairmanship of the party, the National Executive Committee (NEC), the States Executive Committee (SEC), Local Government executives, and even the Ward expos under the leadership of Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje.

The statement added that It is a fact in the public domain that the judgments of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, in Suit No. FHC/AB/CS/120/2022, Appeal Court of Abuja division in Appeal Court No. CA/IB/378/2022 and Supreme Court Ruling delivered by Mohammed Lawal Garba, JSC in the open court on Monday 14th May 2024 before their Lordships; Emmanuel Akomaye Agim, JSC, Chioma Egondu Nwosu-Iheme, JSC, Haruna Simon Tsammani, JSC and Jamilu Yammama Tukur, JSC in SC/CV/1488/2022 between Action Alliance and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) delivered and affirmed the judgments of the trial Court in Abeokuta and Appeal Court, Abuja division that the Said Kenneth Udeze stands expelled from the Party.

The two names mentioned in the suit were not known to both the Action Alliance and the INEC.

“ In the suit, Hon. Frederick Ighiwiyi and one Osaro Uwaifo were mentioned as parties in the court case. Every discerning mind will want to ask, why is Hon. Dr. Adekunle Rufai Omoaje’s name not on the suit? What is Kenneth Udeze hiding? Why not join Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje to the suit?

“On the candidates list of INEC for Edo State Gubernatorial election 2024, Iseghohi Tom was the AA candidate for Kenneth Udeze. How come two different candidates were fighting in the court without involving the most beneficial of the same post they are fighting on?

“The leadership of Action Alliance remains firmly intact with Aare Adekunle Rufai Omoaje as the duly elected National Chairman of Action Alliance as monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on 7th of October, 2023.
