Activist condemns Trump’s closure of VOA, others

The chairman Campaign for Democracy Human Rights Advocacy Civil Society of Nigeria, Dr Mohammed Abdullahi Jabi has condemned the shutdown of Voice of America and other media outfits by President Donald Trump of America.

Dr Jabi made the condemnation in an interview with journalists in Minna, Niger state capital.

He said Trump is abusive to his constitutional powers because information is a greater aspect of human existence.

The activist maintained that governance is about the freedom of press, urging president Trump to exercise restraint if not, he might be impeached by the UN lawmakers without much time to ensure the protection of American reputation.

Jabi further revealed that the target is to lay off media practitioners especially Africans in to labour market.

He called for a media war against the action of President Trump’s closure by other media organizations to gang up to fight for the constitutional powers of the media not to be allowed to be masculated described as a crime against humanity because this will deprived the media from holding the leaders accountable, ensure transparency in governance within the tenant of democracy.

Dr Jabi emphasized that if it becomes to harsh President Donald Trump should be taken to court to get justice, noting that if media did not support you during campaign does not allow him to masculate the media and create joblessness for social problems, crimes and criminalities in America.
