The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe state Command has described Gombe state governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya as an architect and a builder of peace, who always see security as one of his priority.
The Commandant of the corps in the state Mr. Gyama Gyawiya stated this on Wednesday at the Command headquarters while addressing Journalists in Gombe.
He appreciated the effort of the Gombe state government for giving the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and other sister agencies necessary backing inorder to fight insecurity in the state.
According to him, when he assumed duty as commandant in the state, the Command had no functional operational vehicles which he said it was a serious challenge that threatened to limit responds towards security need in the state.
Following it’s response and intervention, the Command witnessed tremendous transformation where governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya did not only facilitated the refurbishment of five grounded operational vehicles but also donated three brand-new operational vehicles to the Command.
Commandant Gyawiya while appreciating the government said this act of generosity is not just a logistical boost for the Command but it serve as a message that safety and security of the people of Gombe state remain a priority of governor Yahaya administration.
While extending the Command heartfelt appreciation, Gyawiya assure the governor and people of Gombe state that with the donation made, the operational vehicles will be use judiciously to maintain peace as well as to protect infrastructure and support lawful efforts in securing lives and property of citizens.
