Gov. Buni urges Yobe citizens to take advantage of 2025 cropping season

Yobe state governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has appealed to the people of the state to take advantage of government’s intervention in agriculture for improved agricultural production in the 2025 cropping season.

Gov. Buni stated this recently in Damaturu while flagging off distribution of 30,000 bags of 10kg rice donated to the state by the Dangote foundation.

Governor said, “As we prepare for this year’s cropping season, I urge you to massively engage in agriculture to ensure food sufficiency and food security.

“This administration would continue to support agricultural development through provision of more machines and equipment, improved seeds, pesticides and insecticides to make agriculture attractive, lucrative and profitable” .

He explained that international business community in Qatar and Morocco have indicated interest in sesame seeds, Gum Arabic, livestock and other agricultural products produced in the state.

“We will take advantage of this opportunity to support the farming population in the state and all others with interest in agriculture to facilitate the economic recovery programme of the government for the benefit of our people.”
