Senator Simeon Ajibola has predicted that what happened in Ekiti State,where the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP),Mr Ayodele Fayose won the gubernatorial election would replicated in Kwara State in 2015.
Ajibola who stated this while speaking with Journalists during an empowerment programme for members of the PDP yesterday said that with the transparency of INEC in Ekiti State which was commended by all stakeholders, such achievement could repeat itself in Kwara State.
Ajibola was represented by Elder John Yusuf said: “The Ekiti election has shown that the Independent National Electoral Commission will be free and fair. The Ekiti election was transparent. Nobody is complaining about it.
“If INEC will cope with Ekiti, which appeared to be more volatile politically than Kwara State, it is obviousthat they can even perform even better in Kwara state. INEC has delivered credible election when President Goodluck Jonathan was elected and President and everybody applauded him.
“INEC used the academia and other people who have nothing to fear and they gave the country credible elections. I expect it to still retain such men of integrity and probity to deliver credible election in forth coming election. I am sure INEC will do it this time around.”
Speaking on President Goodluck Jonathan’s performance, Ajibola said he had done well in the area of transportation and agriculture among others.
