FCT stakeholders Assembly calls for unity to strengthen democracy

The Abuja Original Inhabitants, under the auspices of the FCT Stakeholders Assembly issued a passionate appeal for unity and collaboration between indigenes and leaders of different organisations ,both local and international ,to  strengthen democratic values and  guarantee  citizens’ right to vote and to be voted for  within the FCT community.

This was the highlight of the discussion in the maiden meeting of the Assembly which was centred on the crucial need for a united front to address the challenges facing FCT  citizens .

While speaking, the president of Assembly Dr Aliyu Daniel  Kwali emphasized that the unique demography of Abuja, with its diverse population , necessitates a collaborative approach . This approach will release the full democratic potentials of the FCT for the benefit of both original inhabitants and residents.

The Stakeholders Assembly reiterated its commitment to working with all, without discrimination .

 It called on all stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue and partnership to build a stronger and more prosperous future for all.

Dr. Aliyu pledged the full support of the FCT natives and residents to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike  in their extraordinary drive for the economic prosperity of Nigeria and the well-being of the citizenry.

He further applauded the landmark achievement of the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike for the inauguration of the N50b potable water project across all the satellite towns of FCT.

He  however,called on the FCT Minister to immediately salvage the Education sector , in his characteristic style, and safeguard the future of these Innocent children

Prominent government officials at the meeting included, Hon Abubakar  Umar Abdullah, the chairman of Abaji Area council, Hon. Sulaiman Abdullahi Ango ,the Mandate Secretary of Agricultural Services, Mr. Lawrence Bitrus Garki, the Mandate Secretary Area Council and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Hon. Musa Dikko, FCT commissioner, Public Complaint Commission among others.
