FG condoles Governor Wada over father’s demise

A federal government delegation, led by the Vice-President, Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, on Tuesday paid a condolence visit to the Kogi state Governor, Capt Idris Wada, over the demise of his father Pa Wada Ejiga.

The federal government’s delegation met with the Governor at the deceased hometown, Odu in Dekina local government area of Kogi state, In a condolence message delivered on behalf of President Goodluck Jonathan by the Vice President, he described Pa Ejiga as a worthy son of Kogi state, who has lived a fulfilled life.

While commiserating with Capt Idris Wada, the Government and people of Kogi state over the sad loss of the centenarian, Vice President Sambo prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and enjoined the bereaved family and people of Kogi State to take solace in the fact that the late patriarch had lived a happy and fulfilled life both as a community leader and a devoted father worthy of emulation. He prayed for God to comfort the family members, their friends and well-wishers.

In his response, Capt Idris Wada, who spoke on behalf of the Ejiga family, expressed their deep appreciation of the visit by the federal government’s delegation to condole the family. Pa Wada died on Sunday at the age of 100 after a brief illness.

The Vice President’s entourage included the Inspector-General of Police Mohammed Dahiru Abubakar and the Minister for Special Duties Tanimu Turaki amongst other top government functionaries.
