In an effort to improve effective and efficient health care delivery services, the Adamawa state government has embarked on massive revitalization of health facilities across the 226 wards in the state.
Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, ADSPCDA, Dr Bashir Suleiman Saidu made the disclosure in Yola Wednesday during a media chat on the activities of the Agency, noting that 111 health facilities including primary health care centres,cottage and General hospitals are undergoing revitalization across the state.
Dr.Saidu announced that, 1,750 new staff have been recruited as the hospitals are given facelift so as to respond to the massive demand for medical services in various societies in the state.
Commenting on the national immunization programmes, the Chairman explained that the Agency has recorded significant successes in the previous immunization exercises including poliomyelitis and anti-maleria, urging the public to support and coorperate with their staff when discharging their official engagements.
He further highlighted that dates for upcoming immunizations (NIPDs) are ;May 26th – 30th 2025 for Maternal, Newborn & Child Health week, 2nd Round NIPDs May 31-June 3,2025 as well as May 26th-30th,2025 for school based deworming campaign.
