Governor Uba Sani has launched another game-changing infrastructure project with the formal handover of the Sabon Gari Modern Market site in the State — a bold step to unlock trade, attract investment, and transform the city’s commercial heartbeat.
Spearheaded by the Kaduna State Development and Property Company (KSDPC), the 18-month project will deliver a 13-block ultra-modern complex housing 97 shops, 2 warehouses, 3 office spaces, a mosque, public conveniences, a security outpost, and expansive parking facilities.
The market is being developed by NUHUA Property and Homes Ltd in partnership with KSDPC and First Alaranma Global Ventures, under a model designed to fast-track delivery and attract long-term economic activity.
“This isn’t just bricks and mortar. It’s about building prosperity and modernising trade,” a KSDPC official noted at the handover.
The project aligns tightly with Governor Uba Sani’s campaign promise of targeting infrastructure renewal and investment-driven growth. Once completed, the new Sabon Gari Market is expected to ease congestion, stimulate small businesses, and inject fresh life into area’s economy.
An aide of the governor from the Local Government, Nasir Dambatta insisted that for a city that has long waited for a commercial facelift, “this is more than a construction site — it’s a launchpad for Sabon Gari’s next era of economic relevance.”
