The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) FCT Command, Olusola Odumosu has commissioned a security outpost at Leisure Court Estate, Lugbe-Abuja.
The Commandant said this is the third in the series of divisional command and security outposts structures of the NSCDC FCT Command under his leadership.
“Some few months back, our visionary leader, the Commandant General commissioned the Bwari and Kwali Divisional offices. This moment is not only a testament to the unwavering commitment of the NSCDC to safeguarding our communities but also a significant stride towards enhancing security in our beloved Territory.
“The commissioning of this outpost is not just about celebrating the erection of a building; it symbolizes our resolve to create a safer environment for every citizen in the FCT regardless of location. “
He said with urbanization and the rapid growth of population, the challenges of security have become more complex.
“We are faced with new threats that requires innovative and proactive solutions.
“This outpost is strategically positioned to respond swiftly to security challenges and to engage with the community effectively. It will serve as a base for our officers to monitor activities in the area, support neighborhood watch programs, and foster a spirit of cooperation between the NSCDC and the communities we serve.
“In our journey towards enhancing security, we recognize that community engagement is paramount. Together, we can create a formidable partnership that allows us to detect and prevent crimes before they occur. Through various awareness programs, and regular dialogue with communities, and stakeholders, we aim to strengthen the bond between the NSCDC and the citizens we are sworn to protect.”
