Nasarawa State Receives 5th Fedugam Pre-Games Delegation Team

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, Thursday, received a two-man delegation from the Federal Ministry of Education, Abuja, ahead of the forthcoming 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games, FEDUGAM, in Lafia.

The Commissioner praised the Federal Ministry of Education and Organizers of the Games, for choosing Nasarawa State again as host, and promised that the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration would provide a conducive atmosphere for a successful event, having done so for the same Organization in 2017, when it was hosted in Lafia, the State Capital.

Members of the delegation which included FEDUGAM Consultant, Chief Okeyinka Matthew, and Technical Assistant, Comrade Anthony Okoro, disclosed that the visit was in preparation for the forthcoming 5th edition of the Federal Education Sector Games which will hold in Lafia from August 4th-10th, 2025, featuring fifteen Federal Education Sector Agencies participating in various sporting activities.

The delegation presented souvenir kits to the Commissioner, to symbolize the tournament’s endorsement and acceptability in the Solid Minerals’ State.

The team also presented similar kits to the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, and Senior Directors of the Ministry.

Bauchi State hosted the last (4th) edition in 2024.
