The Student Representatives Council of Amani College of Health Sciences and Technology in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at the weekend honoured the rector of the College, Prof. Amani Danjuma and some lecturers as well as some students of the institution.
The lecturers awarded by the Student Representatives Council are Alhassan Jibril; the HOD in charge of the Public Health, Isreal Danjuma; the HOD in charge of the Community Health and Favour Obinuju.
In an interview with Peoples Daily after the award ceremony, the President of the Student Representatives Council of the College, Mr. Thomas Jesse, said the awards were bestowed on the Rector and the lecturers of the College for their outstanding contributions towards the progress of the College.
He also pointed out that awards were conferred on the students in order to boost their morale in the College, as well to encourage them to participate in social activities in the institution.
He advised the entire students of the College to endeavour to attend social activities outside the College, saying that this would expose them to so many things out there.
However, Jesse, appealed to the students to always co-operate and support the Council, and commended the lecturers of the College for their commitment and dedication to duty.
Our correspondent reports that the 1st Dinner and Award ceremony of the College which took place at the Adult Education in Gwagwalada has its theme as : “Healthcare and Glamour”.
