Governor Uba Sani has effectively positioned Kaduna State as a leading investment destination in Nigeria through its active participation in this year’s Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF) held in Algeria.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, led a high-level delegation to the fair, where Kaduna State showcased its advantages in sectors such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and trade.
Dr. Balarabe stated that the six-day fair reinforced Kaduna State’s role as the gateway for investment in Northern Nigeria, highlighting the state’s investment-friendly reforms across all sectors.
During the event, the Deputy Governor participated in the 5th Africa Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AISNET) Investment Conference, emphasizing the commitment of Governor Uba Sani’s administration to inclusive growth.
Themed “Local Power, Global Impact,” Dr. Balarabe noted that the conference focused on the administration’s achievements in empowering youth and women, and highlighted efforts to support the poor, underserved, and neglected populations.
As the chair of the board of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency (KADIPA), Dr. Balarabe pointed out that the IATF provided a unique platform to enhance trade and investment across Africa, particularly by leveraging the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). She explained that AfCFTA represents a single market of over 1.4 billion people with a combined GDP exceeding $3.5 trillion.
The Kaduna delegation, which included Commissioner for Local Government Alhaji Sadiq Mamman Lagos and Special Adviser on Investment Promotion Malam Sabiu Sani, engaged in strategic Business-to-Government (B2B) and Government-to-Government (G2G) meetings throughout the event.
