Latest news emanating from the secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has it that the federation has agreed to pay Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi N120 million annually as salary.
He is also expected to be paid another N30 million annual fees meant to take care of his accommodation and other expenses.
Reports had it that it has also been agreed that the coach be given a fresh two years contract which will take him to 2016 and the information further revealed that the contract is expected to be tidied up by the week.
Though, the Mike Umeh led NFF board had set up a committee led by Chairman of the technical committee, Chris Green, the centre of discussions are expected to be his new contract.
A top official of the Nigeria Football Federation who does not want his name on print said that committee’s job is merely to discuss other vital details that have to do with the new contract.
The board is totally helpless in the handling of the Stephen Keshi issue as directive seems to be coming from the Nation’s number one person, President Goodluck Jonathan.
Keshi previous three year’s contract expired with the conclusion of the 2014 World cup in Brazil.
