Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has reiterated that his administration does not entertain political gossip or divisions, stressing that leadership must be anchored on unity, service, and collective progress.
The governor made the remark yesterday during the swearing-in ceremony of a new Grand Khadi, five Special Advisers, 13 Permanent Secretaries, and a Permanent Member of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).
The well-attended event was held at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Damaturu.
Recalling his political journey, Governor Buni noted that he won in all 178 political wards across Yobe State during the 2019 general elections, and in 2023, he also secured victory in all polling units across the state.
“With this kind of overwhelming support from our people, how can I listen to political gossip or allow myself to be used to create divisions among our people?
“I do not give room for gossip in my administration.” He declared.
He urged the newly sworn-in appointees to embrace unity and dedication, reminding them that their new roles were an opportunity to contribute selflessly to the growth and development of the state.
