The African Democratic Congress (ADC), led by its National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe, has disassociated itself from a factional group claiming to operate under the name Coalition of African Democratic Congress.

The party also announced plans to launch an upgraded membership registration portal as part of efforts to strengthen its structures and expand participation.

In a statement on Friday, the party’s Director of Media and Public Affairs, Dr. Christopher O. Okechukwu, dismissed reports of a meeting purportedly held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, by the self-styled coalition.

Okechukwu said: “We wish to emphasize that there is no recognized association or coalition within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) bearing the name “Coalition of African Democratic Congress.” The only legitimate entity recognized under the Electoral Act is the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a registered political party.
