The General Overseer of the Christ the King Chapel International Church, Kutunku in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bishop Simon Peter Igbadi, has urged government at all levels to consider the poor in the scheme of things in order to alleviate their suffering.
Igbadi, who stated this while speaking to Peoples Daily Correspondentin Gwagwalada on Saturday, noted that the ‘‘Renewed Hope Agenda’’ of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no impact on the lives of common people in the society for now.
He called on president Tinubu alongside his ministers to redoubletheir efforts to provide purposeful leadership capable of satisfyingthe aspirations of the less privileged at the grassroots level.
He also appealed to Tinubu to bring back the textile industries being established by the white men, so as to boost socio-economic growth of the country, saying that Nigeria is a giant of African without producing anything.
He, therefore, tasked the government of the day to initiate programmes that would help the poor to feel the impact of the government in the society.
