Speaker Abbas, NMDPRA,NNPCL, Dangote, Komolafe, For Reps Annual Downstream Week

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) boss, Farouk Ahmed; President of Dangote Group, NNPCL, Aliko Dangote, the Chief Executive officer the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission(NUPRC), Gbenga Komolafe, PENGASSAN, NUPENG Lesdership, Refinery Owners Association leadership, Petron and Major Marketers and Distribution leadership are among other notable personalities expected at the inaugural House Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) week.

A statement by the Chairman of the committee, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere said the special guests attending the downstream week include Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Petroleum Ministers of state, CBN Governor, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwolu, among other.

He said while Speaker Abbas is to declare the event open, NMDPRA, NUPRC, the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) and Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) will gather to deliberate on the future of downstream with key stakeholders and leadership of the regulatory bodies.

Ugochinyere described the event as “Nigeria’s most influential petroleum industry stakeholders gathering where lawmakers, stakeholders and regulatory bodies will engage in high-level policy and market dialogue, gain regulatory clarity, and explore investment and security opportunities shaping the future of our downstream sector.

According to him, “It is a celebration of excellence in Nigeria’s petroleum downstream sector during which we will celebrate the successes recorded so far, identify the challenges and work out a sustainable solutions to factors affecting stability and expansion in the downstream sector”.

The event Will end with Red Carpet Dinner and Awards Night. “In partnership with leading industry players, this summit fosters collaboration and innovation for sector growth. Be part of the conversations that shape the future”, he added.
