The Kaduna State Police Command has made significant strides in its fight against banditry and kidnapping in the state.
This information was disclosed in a statement signed by DSP Mansir Hassan, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Kaduna State Command.
The statement stated that in a series of coordinated operations, the police arrested 26 suspected kidnappers and recovered four fabricated firearms, as well as a portion of the ransom money paid to the kidnappers.

“The operation, which occurred on October 5, 2025, involved operatives from the Kaduna State Police Command, along with patrol teams from Anchau Division and the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVIS).
“During the operation, six suspected kidnappers were arrested, including a 21-year-old man, Jibrin Abubakar. Investigations revealed that these suspects had kidnapped a 60-year-old man and demanded a ransom of Five Million Naira (N5,000,000).
“The police recovered two locally made pump-action guns, five empty cartridges, some amulets, and a cash sum of Five Hundred and Forty-Six Thousand Naira (N546,000), believed to be part of the ransom proceeds.
“Additionally, two fabricated revolver rifles were recovered from another suspect, Habibu Alhaji Ahmadu, who confessed to masterminding an attack on a residence in the Ikara Local Government Area.”
