The Almustaqil School of Technology and Vocational Training Center, Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State has flagged off training of youths on various skills under the partnership with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
In his remarks during the flag off and orientation ceremony in Kaura Namoda on Saturday, the director Almustaqil School of Technology and Vocational Training Center, Mohammed Nasiru Makwashi, explained that, 167 youths would be trained on poultry and fashion design for the take off out of 12 different trades with a view to reduce the total reliance on government employments.
“Through partnership and shared responsibility, we can collectively reduce unemployment, fight poverty, and build a stronger, more self-reliant society. This event marks a significant milestone in our collective efforts to empower our youths, create self-reliant citizens, and promote sustainable technical and vocational development in our dear state and nation” he assured.
Makwashi further informed that, the selected trainees have been drawn from across the 14 local government areas of the state who included civil servants and retirees who are looking to acquire a new practical skills.
“Graduates and students seeking practical skills to enhance their employability or who are thinking to start their own businesses are not left behind in this journey, the development stands to alleviate the burden positioned on the government’s shoulders.”
