Coalition dismisses negative Social Media campaigns against Minister of Affairs

•Describes them as malicious, politically motivated

A Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) based in Kefii, Nasarawa state has dismissed what it described as malicious and politically motivated campaigns circulating on Social Media against the Minister of Women Affairs, Haj. Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim.
The Coalition, made up of Keffi Development Foundation (KDF), Keffi Peoples’ Forum (KPF) and the 70s 80s Keffi Elite Forum, stated this in a statement issued by its Chairman, Comrade Lawal Ramalan Maizabo.
Noting that the Minister had been discharging her duty creditably well since her appointments, the Coalition also hailed President Bola Tinubu for appointing her, saying it brought balance to the council.
The Coalition added that: “ These malicious attacks are clearly orchestrated by a few individuals with vested interests, who, driven by narrow regional ambitions, seek to mislead the public and undermine the unity of Nasarawa State for their selfish political ends.”
It further declared that: “ We categorically state that these allegations are false, mischievous, and without merit. The Honourable Minister has continued to discharge her duties with distinction, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility.
“Her performance speaks for itself, and no amount of smear campaign can diminish her record of service or the trust she enjoys from President Tinubu and the Nigerian people.”
It said the Monster’s appointment was a testament to Mr President’s “unwavering commitment to competence, inclusiveness, and national balance. The Honourable Minister has, without doubt, justified the confidence reposed in her through her consistent record of service, dedication, loyalty and deep understanding of national issues — especially those affecting women, children, and the vulnerable groups across Nigeria.”
Buttressing the Minister’s suitability for the appointment, the Coalition “recalled that before her current role as the Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim had distinguished herself while serving as the National Commissioner, National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and Internally Displaced Persons, Minster of State for Police Affairs, and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, as well as in the service of Nasarawa State Government where she served as a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Development Council where her passion for humanity, efficiency, and deep empathy for the less privileged earned her national and international recognition.
