The All Progressives Congress, APC in Benue State has pledged to work assiduously for the re-election of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu in 2027 even as it expressed confidence in the leadership prowess of the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Sen George Akume.
This pledge was made on Friday at the commissioning of ABT Support office located on Otukpo road in Makurdi, Benue State capital.
Mr Mathias Byuan, Chief Converner/Coordinator, Ahmed Bola Tinubu (ABT) Support Group 2027 said Benue and the entire North Central has every reason to support President Tinubu in 2027.
Byuan who is also the Executive Director, Finance and Accounts , Federal Housing Authority, said the President had given 24 appointments in the state including the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen Akume.
He said the support group will carry out massive door to door consultations in the state educating the people on the activities and policies of the President.
He further commended the President for the ongoing construction of flyover at Wurukum in Makurdi, bridge at River Buruku, several roads and electrification projects in the state.
APC State Chairman, Austin Agada said based on the President’s outstanding performance particularly his infrastructural (road) development in the State, he can go to sleep and be assured that Benue will deliver in 2027.
He reaffirmed the party’s unflinching support to the SGF Sen George Akume saying, “under his leadership, there is no division in APC in the State”.
Senate President Godswill represented by Senator representing Benue North West Senatorial District Sen Titus Zam, noted that President Tinubu has demonstrated commitment and determination in bringing about reforms that have impacted positively on the lives of Nigerian.
He hailed the proactive and pragmatic leadership of the SGF, stating that it is the person he endorses in 2027, they will work for and win.
While representative of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Hon Dickson Tarkighir who represents Guma/Makurdi Federal Constituency said Benue people will reciprocate the President’s transformational achievements by voting overwhelmingly for him, even as he urged the youths to desist from politics of violence.
APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda represented by the North Central Zonal Secretary Musa Isyaka expressed confidence in Benue to work vigorously for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Secretary to Government of the Federation Sen George Akume who was represented by second republic Senator Jack Gyado said the President has already secured his re-election in 2027, alluding to his performance in production and productivity.
He added, “Sen Akume remains the leader of the party in the State and North central. We will only work for the person he endorses in the State in 2027.
