Ondo govt, partners set roadmap for establishment of refinery

The Ondo state government and its investment partners have set a roadmap for the establishment of a refinery and free trade zone.

Also, the Ondo State Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA), and the  partners have initiated the necessary process by the establishing a Sunshine Joint venture Infrastructure Limited, the platform by the partners – BacckboneInfrastructure Limited (BINL), NEFEX Petro Line Limited and Cooldeall Limited – to work with the OndoState Government, represented by ONDIPA.

The joint venture is represented by NEFEX (Mr. Navid, Egbal and MJ), while BINL is represented by its Directors, Mr. Henry Owonka and Dr. Steve Dike.

Also, Maryam is representing Cooldeal Limited.

As a further testament to this major step, the JV team and consultants which included China Harbour, China Engineering and Honeywell(UOP) among others was led by ONDIPA Executives to the project sites in the Ilaje area of the State through the waters and engagements with critical stakeholders.

In a statement by the Vice President (Corporate Services) – Barrister WALE ADEKOLA, before proceeding to the project sites across the waters, the team earlier paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty (HRM), the Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom, Oba Frederick Obateru Akinruntan.

The Kabiyesi warmly welcomed the team especially the foreign partners which include the team lead Messrs Egbal, JM and Maryam among others.

He assured the JV team and the Ondo State Government of the total support of the Kingdom and all stakeholders including the security of lives and property of all the groups and individuals that will be involved in these projects for the benefits of all.

Meanwhile, the Team was earlier led by the Chairman of BINL, HE. Senator Ken Nnamani (former Senate President) made a courtesy call on the Executive Governor of the State, Mr. Luck Aiyedatiwa.

The Governor appreciate the JV for making Ondo State destination of choice for its investment, noting that the investment will drive industrial growth of Ondo and Nigeria as a whole while assuring of conducive environment that will ensure a thriving business and mutually beneficial relationship amongst all stakeholders.

The JV team and ONDIPA restated commitment not just for the successful execution of the projects but giving the stakeholders full benefits by providing modern social amenities including Hospitals, Schools, potable water and settlement centers with all social amenities.
