Police, Army clash: Normalcy returns to Zuru town

After bloody clashes between police and solders in Zuru town on the eve of Sallah celebration, normalcy has returned to the entire community.

People’s Daily gathered that following the prompt intervention of the Emir of Zuru, rtd Gen. Sani Sami Gomo 11, the two security bodies came to truce to bury their differences.

The ugly situation was a big surprise to people of Zuru and the entire state because never in the history of the state had such an incident happened.

The Police authority in Birnin-Kebbi, the state capital issued a statement signed by the command PPRO confirmed that the incident which led to the death of one Soldier and two Police men has been brought under control and normalcy has since returned.

The command further revealed that a joint investigation is on going to ascertain the cause of the unfortunate incident.”
