CNS Spikers, Nigeria Customs Service, and the Nigeria Police Force recorded emphatic victories on the opening day of the final phase of the 2025 Comptroller General of Customs Volleyball Premier League on Tuesday night, December 2.
Reigning champions CNS Spikers kicked off their title defense with a dominant 3–0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-18) win over the Nigeria Correctional Service at the indoor sports hall of the Moshood Abiola Stadium.
The champions showed their class from the first serve, controlling the tempo and maintaining composure through all three sets.
In other fixtures, two-time champions Offa Volleyball Club produced a strong display to defeat 2024 bronze medallist Kada Kings 3–0 (25-19, 25-16, 26-24), with the Kings falling just short of extending the game in a tightly contested third set.
Sunshine Spikers also made a bright start, overpowering UCEM 3–0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-22) victory, while multiple champions Nigeria Customs Service proved too strong for NAF Rockets, sealing a comfortable 3–0 win (25-20, 25-15, 25-18).
COAS Spikers, however, were unable to maintain their early momentum in their clash against Kano Pillars. After winning the first set 25–22, COAS struggled to match Pillars’ intensity, eventually losing 1–3 (25-22, 16-25, 18-25, 20-25).
The Nigeria Police Force capped off the opening day with a commanding 3–0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-20) triumph over NSCDC, showcasing discipline and tactical efficiency throughout the encounter.
