Lagos TUC Women Commission advocates for women, girls at 16 Days of Activism Against Digital Violence

The Lagos State Council of the Trade Union Congress Women Commission (TUCWC) successfully hosted its 2025 16 Days of Activism programme, themed “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls”, at Queens College Hall, Yaba. The event brought together government representatives, union leaders, students, advocacy groups and partners to address the growing threat of digital violence and its impact on women and girls.

The programme was opened by Comrade Ololade Gbajumo, Chairperson of TUCWC Lagos State, who also served as moderator for the panel discussion. In her remarks, she welcomed participants and highlighted the important role both girls and boys play in creating safe digital spaces.

Representatives of the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) and the National Chairperson of TUCWC, represented by Comrade Veronica attended the event, demonstrating strong collaboration across sectors.
