The Accord National Chairman, Barr Maxwell Mgbudem has been re-elected the National Secretary of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), the umbrella body of all registered political parties in Nigeria.

Barr Mgbudem was first elected national secretary on 15th December 2023 for a two-year tenure. He earlier served as the Deputy National Chairman of the Council.

Other party leaders elected by are Dr Yusuf Mamman Dantalle – National Chairman,
Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim – Deputy National Chairman, Maryam Garba Bagel – Deputy National Secretary, Dr Dipo Olayoku – National Treasurer, Chinyere Kalu – National Organising Secretary, Dr Umar Mohammed – National Financial Secretary, Martins Egbeola – National Publicity Secretary and Barr. Obed Agu – National Legal Adviser

The election was conducted on Monday, 8th December 2025, at IPAC National Secretariat Abuja and monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Barr Mgbudem commended leaders of political parties for the confidence reposed in him to serve the council for a second term as its scribe.

He also commended the Electoral Committee led by Chief Dan Nwanyanwu for the success of the exercise promising to take the new executive will take Council to the next level.
