From Yakubu Mustapha, Minna

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant during the 2023 general elections, Engineer Abdullahi Isah Jankara has decamped to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with thousands of his supporters in Niger state.
Jankara made the disclosure at what he described as his last stakeholders meeting with the PDP representatives from ten Wards at Baban Gwari in Birinin Maza Tashibo ward in Lapai local government area of Niger state, saying that Nigeria’s alternative is found in the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He called on the electorates to have a rethink as the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has disappointed Nigerians with misrule, disunity, hardship maladministration, insecurity and betrayed the confidence reposed in them by the people, calling on Nigerian’s to join the ADC to save the state and Nigeria out of deceitful governments.
The former PDP stalwart who is also the former State Controller of defunct Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) said he’s defecting with his supporters after due consultation with critical stakeholders of the party. However, in an interview declared his intention to contest for Niger state governorship election come twenty twenty seven.
Engineer Isah Jankara noted that he can not continue to be in the PDP that is surrounded by leaches who claimed to be PDP members in the daytime but run to the APC at night with a deliberate political gimmick of causing further destruction to the party ahead of twenty twenty seven general elections.
He said he’s moving with over 1,500 of his supporters and well-wishers to the new political party, assuring that the ADC will lead the country out of poverty, trust and integration, bring positive changes of massive infrastructure and human development to Niger state and Nigeria at large.
The large crowd unanimously assured to follow him to any political party he is moving to because he has been the only one funding the party in the local government as well purchased forms for all the aspirants in the just concluded council elections in the area.
