2015: Only God knows my fate, Kaduna gov tells politicians

Kaduna state governor, Alhaji Muktar Ramalan Yero, yesterday said that his fate as a leader and governor of the state beyond 2015 lies in the hands if God.

The governor also cautioned politicians in the state to play politics according to the rules without unnecessarily attacking the people.

According to him, as a leader, he believes Allah alone knows what will happen during the election because He is the only one that knows who become what.

Yero made this statement during the official launching of some euiptment procured under the Unified Services by the Local Government Councils of the state.

“As a politician, I know that only God will determine our fates come 2015 election. Therefore, there is no need for us to be attacking each other with hatred. This is because there is no permanent friend or enemy in politics only permanent interests. So, we should come together and work for the benefit of our people and state,” he said.

The governor further challenged the 23 Local government chairmen to try and fulfill their electoral promises in their areas.

“The speculation making rounds is far from the truth of the matter. At any given opportunity, the Chairman of the Association of Local government chairmen in the state, ALGON, will attest to the fact that the state government don’t deny them their rights but people have continued to accuse us of denying the chairmen their rights.

“In my knowing, I stand to ensure that everybody is accorded his or her rights. Every Chairman took the oath of allegiance to fulfill all promises made to his people and God. Therefore, I don’t have interest to trespass into the affairs of the Local governments,” he said.

Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON) chairman Danjuma Yusuf Akuso commended the state governor for the support given to all 23 local government of the state.

He also disclosed publicly that the state governor always make sure all local government areas of the state get all their allocations as and when due, denying the speculations that the governor do starve them of funds.
