A Kaduna-based civil society actor and policy analyst Yusuf Ishaku Goje has praised the Kaduna State government for implementing a free transportation system and promoting peace and unity in the State.
In a recent statement, Goje emphasized the positive impact these initiatives have had on the state’s socio-economic development.
He noted that the free transportation system has increased household income and allowed businesses to retain more profits. “I have witnessed the effects firsthand and heard people testify to the benefits,” he stated.
Goje also highlighted that the improved peace and unity have facilitated greater socio-economic activities, creating a favorable environment for growth. However, he stressed the need for more collaborative efforts to minimize insecurity.
He acknowledged Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to changing the ethno-religious narrative but raised concerns about the sustainability of these initiatives.
“The critical question now is how long these efforts will be maintained and at what cost?” he asked. Goje urged citizens to engage with the government, ask pertinent questions, and hold officials accountable.
“Let’s encourage the government when they perform well so that they can continue to improve,” he concluded.
