The quest for the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 has gotten a boost as Member representing South East on the Governing Board of South East Development Commission (NEDC), Rt. Hon. Sam Onuigbo added his voice to the project.
Rep Onuigbo noted that President Tinubu deserved the votes of all eligible voters in 2027 because he has succeeded in placing the country on the path of sustainable economic growth and development.
Rep Onuigbo, a former Member of House of Representatives who made this know Sunday while speaking during his family thanksgiving at St. Paul’s Methodist Church Obuohia Obi-Ibere in Ikwuano Local Government Area of Abia State, said the President has introduced policies and reforms intended to support long-term growth and development stressing “it is only wise for Nigerians to allow him complete the good work he has started”.
According to him, “I have no doubt whatsoever that in 2027 Tinubu will be re-elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Fact and figures from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show that prices of food items have been coming down steadily and that has been validated. Besides, inflation has come down and the President has been able to unify the foreign exchange rates.”
Onuigbo disclosed that fuel queues that normally characterised every festive period in Nigeria has become a thing of the past because of the removal of fuel subsidy stressing that people now drive in and out of Filling Stations with ease, including some competing for patronage by offering promotional products to potential clients.
The two-term representative for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency of Abia State said that the Thanksgiving was in honour of God’s mercies on him and his family.
In his words: “God has protected and elevated me and members of my family from our humble beginnings. We have been through a lot including series of political challenges, but in all these God saw us through and that is why we have cone to show him gratitude,”
The Climate Change Advocate who was at different times Commissioner for Lands as well as Commissioner for Finance in Abia State promised to rebuild the church in his community, in appreciation of God’s blessings in his life.
Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Dr. Oliver Aba in his sermon admonished the congregation to always show gratitude to God in their lives.
He urged the people to emulate Onuigbo’s gesture of thanksgiving and recognition of his humble beginning.
Political bigwigs including the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, Senator for Abia Central, Austin Akobundu amongst others attended the Thanksgiving Service.
