The former Managing Director, Taraba state Investment and property limited, Chief Iliya Ezekiel on Saturday donated food items worth over 10 million naira to the displaced communities of Ugodo, in Donga LGA of Taraba state.
Presenting the relief materials to the IDPs, the House of Representatives hopeful for Donga, Takum and Ussa federal constituency expressed that the gesture was not out of political desire but to help the needy.
Represented by Hon. Terzungwe Akaayue, Amoamo Shundan and Victor Salemga, chief Iliya condemned the attack, describing the incident as inhuman, and a threat to development of the area.
“This gesture is not based on my political desire but a feelings for the vulnerable person. I feel bad when ever news of insecurity and attacks on the people breaks to me. I call on the government to intervene in the situation and ensure the safe return of the displaced population.
“This attack is inhuman and condemnable”.
