The APC Grassroots Governance Group (APC G3) has urged students across the country to take advantage of the Nigeria Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) programme.

The group called on university authorities to continue cooperating with the fund to ensure a transparent and seamless application process.

APC G3 in a statement issued on Monday by its National Coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema, acknowledged the 7th disbursement of NELFUND loans to students of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, and several other tertiary institutions, describing it as a landmark innovation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

It said the ongoing disbursements across beneficiary institutions demonstrate the Federal Government’s strong commitment to expanding access to education and easing the financial burden on students from low-income backgrounds.

The statement said the NELFUND initiative is already bringing visible relief to students who previously struggled to meet tuition and upkeep costs, noting that many beneficiaries can now focus fully on their academic pursuits without the pressure of financial hardship.

“The education loan scheme is a bold and compassionate policy introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure that no Nigerian child is denied higher education because of poverty,” the group stated. “The impact across our universities clearly shows that this innovation is working.”

The group further noted that the scheme aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration, which places human capital development at the centre of national growth.
