The Management of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), led by the Executive Director of Transmission Service Provider (TSP), Engr. Dr. Oluwagbenga Ajiboye on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction work at the Abuja Independent Power Plant Project Phase One in Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The visit to the plant site, according to a statement by Ndidi Mba (General Manager, Public Affairs), was aimed at assessing the project’s progress, obtaining first-hand information on its generating capacity, commissioning timeline, and evacuation requirements for integration into the national grid.

The engagement, according to the statement, provided an opportunity for technical discussions between TCN engineers and the project contractor, reinforcing coordination ahead of the December 2026 commissioning.
