Fubara appoints new SSG, Chief of Staff

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, in honour of the peace accord struck with the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has appointed a new Chief of Satff and Secretary to the State Government.
This was confirmed in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, in Port Harcourt, on Thursdday.
The statement showed that Fubara appointed Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff, CoS, and that the appointments take effective immediately.
It would be recalled that following the political crisis in the State and the Abuja “peace deal”, that the governor had sacked his aides, including former CoS, Edison Ehie and SSD, Dr Benibo Anabraba.
However, the governor, in the statement said the duo would be sworn in to resume official duties at 2pm Thursday
The statement reads: “Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has appointed Dr Dagogo S.A. Wokoma as the Secretary to the State Government ( SSG) and Barrister Sunny Ewule as the Chief of Staff ( COS). Both appointments are with immediate effect”.
