We will reward quality brands – Consumer brands award organisers

The organisers of Consumer Brand Awards 2014 have promised to reward excellence and quality with regards to consumer products by showcasing only consumer-friendly products or brands for the year 2014.

The award, formerly known as Consumer Friendly Awards organized by Consumer Campaign Foundation in collaboration with ConsumerGuide Nigeria, a monthly magazine dedicated to providing information and enlightenment to consumers about the market place as it affects their welfare, will this year host an award ceremony in recognition of brands that are consumer- friendly on October 18th at the prestigious Sheraton Hotels, Abuja tagged ‘Consumer Brands Award 2014’ and will showcase those consumer-friendly brands for the year.

The awards which seek to reward consumers are in different categories viz: Consumer writer of the year, Consumer Television Station of the year, Consumer Newspaper of the year, Consumer friendly product of the year, Consumer Clothier of the year, Consumer Friendly Airline of the year, Best Consumer Health & Safety Company of the year, Consumer Friendly Artiste of the year, Consumer-Friendly Governor of the year, Best Consumer-Friendly Beverage of the year among others.

Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Musa Polycarp in a press statement, said “the awards are coming at a time when most manufacturers or service providers have cultivated the habit of short changing the average consumer, by way of marketing or selling sub-standard products and services”.

On the credibility of the award, Musa said “those to be awarded are the high flyers, who have stuck to the provision of high quality products using high standards at achieving the end product churned to the consumer”.

“It is in recognition of these excellent standards that these men and women of substance have stuck to, that have endeared them to organisers of the consumer awards which will come up by October”.
