The Senior Pastor of the House of Purpose Ministry in Unguwan Sunday, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Apostle Yusuf Yakubu, has emphasized the importance of soul winning as a crucial aspect of Kingdom service.

Speaking during his Sunday sermon, Apostle Yakubu cited Proverbs 12:30, which states, “He who wins souls is wise,” and stressed that soul winning is not just a task for pastors and evangelists, but a responsibility for every believer.

He quoted Matthew 28:19-20, where Jesus commands His disciples to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Apostle Yakubu noted that soul winning is a vital part of Christian service, citing the example of Jesus Christ, who came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10).

He also pointed to the apostle Paul, who was willing to be all things to all men that he might win some (1 Corinthians 9:22).

The apostle emphasized that soul winning has numerous benefits, including the joy of seeing people come to Christ (Acts 8:39) and the reward of eternal life (Daniel 12:3). He quoted 1 Thessalonians 2:19-20, where the apostle Paul writes,

“What is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? For you are our glory and joy.”

Apostle Yakubu urged believers to prioritize soul winning, saying that it is a key aspect of fulfilling the Great Commission.

He cited the example of Philip, who led the Ethiopian eunuch to Christ (Acts 8:26-40), and the woman at the well, who brought her entire village to Jesus (John 4:39-42).
