Residents of Aba, Umuahia and Umudike in Abia State have benefited from a week-long medical and welfare outreach organised by the Senior Pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche and Dr Mrs Becky Enenche.

The outreach, held alongside a crusade themed “The God of Mercy,” commenced in Aba on March 17, moved to Umuahia on March 19 and concluded in Umudike on March 21.

Large crowds attended the crusades, which featured prayers, worship and messages centred on healing, salvation and deliverance.

Beyond the spiritual activities, the clerics extended humanitarian support through free medical services and welfare interventions aimed at improving the wellbeing of residents.

In Aba, no fewer than 2,002 patients received treatment, while several laboratory tests, including blood sugar screening, hepatitis tests, malaria parasite checks and urinalysis, were conducted. Three emergency cases were stabilised and referred to hospitals.

Dental care was also provided, with 216 cases handled, including extractions and scaling procedures.

Similarly, in Umuahia, about 2,160 residents were attended to, with two emergency cases successfully managed. Medical teams also carried out ultrasound scans and ECG tests, while over 200 dental cases were treated.

Relief materials, including food items and clothing, were distributed to residents across the three locations.

The outreach formed part of the ministry’s regular interventions within and outside Nigeria, combining spiritual activities with social support.

Governor Alex Otti was among dignitaries who attended the crusade alongside members of his cabinet. The clerics also paid a visit to the Government House, where prayers were offered for the state.

The programme ended with a campus revival at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, attended by the Vice-Chancellor and other officials.
