An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency of the FCT, Sarah Ivie Adidi, has pledged to address critical challenges confronting the constituency, particularly insecurity, education, and youth unemployment.

Adidi made the commitment in Abuja during an interactive meeting with the 22 ward chairmen across the constituency, where she outlined her vision for sustainable development and improved living standards for residents.

She emphasized that her campaign is driven by a desire to bring about meaningful transformation in AMAC/Bwari.

She noted that insecurity, limited access to quality education, and inadequate skills acquisition opportunities remain major setbacks to the growth of the constituency.

According to her, tackling these issues would form the core of her legislative agenda if elected into the House of Representatives.

Adidi described the ward chairmen as critical stakeholders and the backbone of grassroots mobilization, stressing that their support and collaboration would be instrumental in achieving her objectives.

“I consider the ward chairmen as the cornerstone of this project. Their closeness to the people makes them vital partners in our collective effort to reposition AMAC/Bwari for progress,” she said.

She expressed appreciation to the ward leaders for honoring her invitation and reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive leadership that prioritizes the needs of the people.

Adidi also promised to embark on a ward-to-ward tour across the constituency to engage directly with residents, understand their concerns firsthand, and build stronger relationships at the grassroots level.

She reiterated that her administration, if given the mandate, would focus on enhancing security, improving access to education, and creating sustainable skills development and job opportunities for youths.

Adidi assured constituents that her approach would be people-centered, transparent, and result-oriented, aimed at delivering tangible improvements in the overall standard of living within the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.

Responding, the ward chairmen through their representatives, expressed strong support for the aspiration of Sarah Ivie Adidi, while offering candid advice to guide her political journey.

They emphasized the importance of grassroots politics, urging the aspirant to carry all ward leaders along and remain consistent in her relationship with them even after assuming office.

However, the ward chairmen cautioned against abandoning loyal supporters once elected, noting that past representatives often sidelined local supporters after winning elections by bringing in external actors.

They noted that Adidi is the first aspirant to engage directly with the ward chairmen, urging her to avoid making unrealistic promises and to focus only on achievable goals.
