Efiko Management Consulting said that exposing children and youth early to financial education management is vital for their future and societal development.

The management stated that it has become very essential to educate them on financial literacy .

“Early financial education can help instil values such as accountability, discipline, and delayed gratification”.

The Firm made this known during the global money week in Nigeria .

Speaking on the significance of the week, the firm’s Managing Consultant and Chief Executive, Omagbitse Barrow, described financial literacy as one of the most overlooked yet impactful areas of education.

Barrow explained that financial education is often introduced too late, at a stage when individuals are already earning or investing and many money-related behaviours have already been formed.

He said that effective financial literacy should go beyond teaching savings and investment principles to include ethics, value creation, and responsible wealth building.
