The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 365 operational personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Easter celebration.

The State Commandant, Sani Mustapha, disclosed this in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, ASCI Umar Mohammad M., noting that the deployment covers the pre-, active, and post-Easter periods.

According to the statement, the personnel have been strategically positioned to strengthen security at worship centres, safeguard lives and property, and protect critical infrastructure across the 14 local government areas of the state.

Mustapha charged officers and men of the Corps to maintain discipline, consistency, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties to ensure law and order throughout the festive period.

He further reaffirmed the commitment of the NSCDC, under the leadership of Commandant-General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to its core mandate of protecting lives and property, warning that anyone found engaging in unlawful activities would be dealt with in accordance with the law.

The Commandant also extended Easter greetings to Christians, wishing them a peaceful and fulfilling celebration, while expressing hope that the season would promote unity and lasting peace in the country.
