Police deserve our gratitude, Radda tells Nigerians

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda says police personnel deserve gratitude from Nigerians for risking their lives to make all citizens safe.

In a message to mark the 2026 National Police Day, the governor recognised their relentless sacrifice and dedication to ensure peace and security across the country.

“Today, we celebrate those who put on the uniform and risk their lives to keep us safe. Our police officers deserve our gratitude and respect,” he added.

The Governor appreciated the critical role police play in protecting lives and properties and their exceptional contributions to peace in Katsina and other parts of the country.

He said that the police has been contributing immensely to the state government security efforts and commended officers and men of the Command for their commitment and bravery to combating rising violence and criminal activities across the state.

The governor called on all residents to cooperate with security agencies and provide information that would help to combat crime and insecurity.

He also urged communities to work closely with police to strengthen security at the grassroots, pledging government’s continued support with resources and equipment to enable them to perform their duties more effectively.

“Our administration is committed to providing whatever support the police need. Better equipment, better training, and better welfare for officers—these are our priorities,” the governor assured.
