The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara state has strengthened its structure following the defection of former Senator Kabiru Marafa and his supporters into the party.
Announcing the development, the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Abdulkarim Umar Lihidda, described the move as a significant gain that would enhance the ADC’s political relevance and grassroots appeal in the state.
According to the party, Marafa’s entry marks a major step towards consolidating unity and repositioning the ADC as a strong alternative platform in Zamfara politics.
The party praised the former lawmaker’s political experience and leadership credentials, expressing confidence that his involvement would contribute to strengthening its structure and strategic direction.
The party also welcomed the influx of his supporters, noting that their decision to join the party reflects growing confidence in the ADC’s ideals of justice, equity and good governance.
The ADC assured the new members of full integration and equal participation in party activities, stressing its commitment to internal democracy and collective progress.
The party further stated that the development would boost its chances in future political engagements, as it works to expand its influence within Zamfara and beyond.
