The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has criticised opposition parties over internal crises, describing them as unfit to govern Nigeria.
Speaking in Abuja, Yilwatda said the APC remains the only stable and nationally structured platform capable of sustaining governance and delivering long-term development.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Abimbola Tooki, the APC Chairman argued that parties battling factional disputes, legal tussles and leadership struggles lack the capacity to manage a complex federation like Nigeria.
He said: “A party that cannot govern itself cannot govern the country,” he said, warning Nigerians against entrusting power to “unstable political platforms.”
Yilwatda maintained that the ruling party is focused on strengthening governance, deepening democracy and supporting ongoing reforms aimed at economic stability and growth.
He also advised party stakeholders in Osun State to adopt a disciplined, data-driven campaign approach ahead of future elections, stressing the need for unity, clear leadership structure and effective conflict resolution mechanisms.
