The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), University of Abuja branch, has elected a new executive team to lead the union’s affairs.
Hajiya Sadiya Ibrahim Hassan emerged as the Chairperson, while Comrade Sunday Adamu Ajegena was elected as the Secretary. Six other executive members were also voted into office to steer the union’s mission.
In her acceptance speech, Hajiya Hassan expressed satisfaction with the electoral process and promised an inclusive administration.
“My leadership will carry every member along. I call on all officials and members to cooperate so we can move this union forward,” she stated.
She further extended an olive branch to those who contested but did not win, urging them to collaborate with the new executive team for the collective progress of the union.
The newly elected Secretary, Comrade Ajegena, thanked the members for their mandate and assured them that NASU would maintain a productive relationship with the University management to ensure the institution’s continued growth and development.
