Former Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha said his wife, Mrs. Nneoma Rochas, loves caring for the needy.

He spoke on Saturday at the Women of Divine Destiny Initiative (WODDI) program themed ;“Position Until Something Happens.”

The event brought together women from different backgrounds to discuss leadership, entrepreneurship, personal development, and social impact.

Rochas said his wife finds joy in helping the needy.

“Her life always revolves around feeding and caring for the needy. She derives joy in making other people happy,” he said.

“We have embarked on several activities in the past, caring for people in need. My wife appreciates this gift more than anything that would benefit her personally.”

Also speaking, Abia State governor Alex Otti urged Nigerian women to keep pushing toward their goals. He noted that the program’s theme, Push, is an interpretation of “position until something happens.”

“But now, it is position until something happens. I’m sure we understand what ‘until something happens’ means. What is that thing that will happen?” Otti said.

“Before you stop positioning yourself, you must define what you expect to happen, because anything can happen, and you may need to change position. So you start by defining where you want to be.

“You must define your objectives and focus on strategies that will help you achieve them.”

“I saw hope on the faces of every woman in the hall. I saw courage rising gently. I saw women listening as if something inside them was being reminded that life still holds meaning,” she said.

“And for that, I am deeply grateful. The theme of the WODDI Inspiring Women Summit 2026 is Push: Positioned Until Something Happens. And today, that theme was not only spoken, it was felt.

“Sometimes what a woman needs is not a loud voice. Sometimes she only needs a place where her heart can breathe again, a place where she is reminded that she is not finished, that her story is not over, that her pain is not the end of her.”

She added that for 17 years, WODDI has carried a simple burden: to stand with women, families, children, widows, mothers, young people, and communities in whatever way God gives grace.

“Tonight, I stand here not to praise WODDI, but to thank God Almighty for every life He has allowed this vision to touch,” she said.

“The real testimony is not the name of an organization. The real testimony is a woman who finds strength again, a mother who finds courage again, a widow who smiles again, a young girl who believes again, a family that receives hope again, and a community, a nation that sees light again.”
