Radda approves Electric Vehicles development training for 74 artisans 

Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has approved the training of 74 artisans on Electric Vehicle prototype development.

The Coordinator of the Katsina Youth Craft Village,  Engr. Kabir Abdullahi Kofar Soro, made this known in a statement issued on Tuesday.

He said that the six-month training would be conducted at the Katsina Youth Craft Village in partnership with Maglush Electric Vehicle, an indigenous EV company owned by investors from the state.

According to him, the training is designed to equip young artisans with modern technical skills in electric vehicle technology and prepare them for opportunities in the emerging green transportation sector.

The coordinator said the trainees would be drawn from the 34 Local Government Areas of the state to ensure the availability of skilled technicians for the maintenance and repair of electric vehicles in the state.

Kabir added that the initiative would support government’s plan to distribute electric motorcycles to teachers by providing trained technical personnel for maintenance services.

He said that the partnership with the company include technology transfer to enable the Katsina Youth Craft Village to independently sustain future EV training programmes.

The coordinator described the approval for the training as a reflection of the governor’s commitment to innovation, youth development, and sustainable economic growth in Katsina State.
